1. Our Commitment to Intellectual Property Rights
Wearnorules respects valid intellectual property rights, including rights relating to copyright, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, logos, original photographs, original graphics, written content, product designs where legally protected, and other legally recognized intellectual property.
We do not knowingly authorize the use of content that infringes valid third-party intellectual property rights.
2. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to intellectual property concerns involving content appearing on or associated with wearnorules.com, product listings, product images, product descriptions, website graphics, logos, marketing content, written website content, user-submitted content (if available), and other material displayed through our website.
3. Types of Claims We May Review
We may review claims involving alleged infringement of copyright (photographs, product images, artwork, illustrations, written content, graphics, videos, website content), trademarks (registered trademarks, unregistered marks protected by applicable law, brand names, logos, service marks, other source-identifying marks), and other legally recognized intellectual property rights where applicable.
4. Before Submitting a Claim
Before submitting an intellectual property complaint, please consider whether you own the intellectual property right at issue, whether you are legally authorized to act for the rights owner, whether the material identified is actually protected by the claimed right, whether the use may be authorized by the rights owner, whether the use may be permitted by applicable law, and whether you have accurately identified the content in question.
Submitting a claim does not automatically establish infringement. We may need additional information before taking action.
5. Who May Submit a Claim
A claim should be submitted by the intellectual property owner or a person legally authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner. If you are acting as an authorized representative, please clearly state your authority to act for the rights holder.
6. How to Submit an Intellectual Property Claim
Claims should be sent by email to support@wearnorules.com using a clear subject line such as Intellectual Property Claim. To help us review the matter efficiently, include all required information described below.
7. Required Information for a Claim
Your notice should include:
- Your full legal name
- Your company or organization name, if applicable
- Your email address
- Your mailing address
- Your telephone number, where appropriate
- Identification of the intellectual property owner
- Description of the intellectual property right being claimed
- Identification of the protected work, trademark, or other right
- Registration number, if applicable and available
- Jurisdiction of registration, if applicable
- Exact URL or website location of the allegedly infringing material
- Clear description of the allegedly infringing material
- Explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized
- Supporting documents or evidence, where available
- A good-faith statement
- An accuracy and authority statement
- Your physical or electronic signature
Incomplete notices may delay our review.
8. Identification of the Protected Work
Please describe the intellectual property you believe is being infringed with enough detail for us to identify it.
For copyright claims, this may include title of the work, original publication location, original publication date, copyright registration information (if available), original image or content reference, and URL where the original work appears.
For trademark claims, this may include trademark name, registration number, registration country or jurisdiction, trademark owner, and goods or services covered by the registration.
9. Identification of the Allegedly Infringing Material
Please identify the material on wearnorules.com that you believe infringes your rights by providing exact page URL, product page URL, screenshot where useful, product name, description of the material, and location of the material on the page. General statements such as "your website infringes my rights" may not provide enough information for us to investigate.
10. Good-Faith Statement
Your claim should include a statement substantially confirming that:
"You have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the intellectual property owner, its agent, or applicable law."
11. Accuracy and Authority Statement
Your notice should also confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are the rights owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner.
12. Signature Requirement
Please include a physical or electronic signature of the rights owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner. Typing your full legal name at the end of an electronic notice may serve as an electronic signature where legally valid.
13. Supporting Documentation
Supporting information may help us review your claim more efficiently, such as registration certificates, official trademark records, copyright registration records, original photographs, original publication records, licensing agreements, authorization documents, screenshots, and original URLs. Do not send confidential information that is unnecessary to establish the claim.
14. Claim Review Process
After receiving a sufficiently detailed claim, we may review the information provided, locate the material identified, evaluate whether additional information is needed, contact the claimant for clarification, contact another relevant party where appropriate, and remove, restrict, modify, or retain the material depending on the available information and applicable requirements. The specific response depends on the facts of the claim.
15. Requests for Additional Information
We may ask for additional information if ownership is unclear, authorization is unclear, the claimed right cannot be identified, the allegedly infringing material cannot be located, the complaint is too broad, the information provided is inconsistent, or additional evidence is reasonably necessary. Failure to provide sufficient information may prevent us from completing the review.
16. Possible Actions
Depending on the circumstances, Wearnorules may take one or more actions, including removing content, restricting access to content, editing content, replacing an image, correcting attribution, removing a product listing, requesting supporting documentation, taking no action where the claim is unsupported, or taking other steps required by applicable law. Submitting a claim does not guarantee removal of the identified material.
17. Trademark Claims
If your complaint concerns a trademark, please identify the exact trademark, trademark owner, registration number if applicable, registration jurisdiction, goods or services covered by the mark, allegedly infringing use, exact URL of the disputed material, and why you believe the use creates unauthorized source identification or other infringement. Where applicable, we may consider whether the complained-of use is descriptive, referential, comparative, nominative, licensed, or otherwise legally permitted.
18. Copyright Claims
For copyright complaints, provide identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing material, exact location of that material, your contact information, good-faith statement, accuracy and authority statement, and signature. Copyright complaints that are specifically intended to invoke procedures under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act may also be handled under our separate DMCA Policy.
19. Product Image Claims
If your claim concerns a product photograph or image, please provide the original image, evidence of ownership or authorized control, original publication URL (if available), date of original publication (where available), and exact Wearnorules URL containing the disputed image. If the image was licensed to another party, include relevant licensing information where appropriate.
20. Product Description Claims
If your complaint concerns written product content, please identify the original text, evidence showing ownership, the allegedly copied text, exact URL, relevant publication dates, and any licensing or authorization information. Short phrases, generic product descriptions, factual information, and commonly used wording may not always qualify for copyright protection.
21. Trademark Use in Product Listings
References to third-party brand names may sometimes be used for lawful identification, compatibility, comparison, descriptive, or other permitted purposes. A trademark claim should therefore explain why the specific use is allegedly unauthorized or infringing. The mere appearance of a third-party name or mark does not automatically establish infringement.
22. Repeat Infringement
Where appropriate and supported by the facts, Wearnorules may take action regarding users, suppliers, partners, or other parties who repeatedly provide or submit infringing content, including content removal, listing restrictions, account restrictions, termination of access, or other reasonable measures.
23. False or Misleading Claims
Do not knowingly submit false claims, fraudulent ownership claims, misleading evidence, altered documents, claims made solely to interfere with legitimate competition, or claims concerning rights you do not own or represent. Knowingly submitting false statements may result in legal consequences under applicable law.
24. Abuse of the Claim Process
Wearnorules may decline to process or may limit responses to complaints that are repeatedly abusive, clearly fraudulent, harassing, unrelated to intellectual property, or unsupported after reasonable requests for clarification. Legitimate claims submitted in good faith will be reviewed based on the available information.
25. Confidential Information
Please do not include unnecessary confidential, financial, medical, or highly sensitive personal information in an intellectual property complaint. Submit only the information reasonably necessary for us to evaluate the claim.
26. Information Sharing Related to Claims
Information submitted in an intellectual property complaint may be shared where reasonably necessary with the person or entity responsible for the disputed material, service providers assisting with the review, legal advisers, rights management providers, and authorities where required by law. We may remove unnecessary personal information before sharing where appropriate.
27. Privacy
Personal information submitted as part of an intellectual property complaint will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. We may retain complaint records where reasonably necessary for claim administration, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, repeat infringement review, and recordkeeping.
28. No Automatic Determination of Ownership
Wearnorules is not a court and does not independently adjudicate complex ownership disputes. Where multiple parties claim rights to the same material, we may request additional documentation or take reasonable interim action while the parties resolve the dispute.
29. Disputed Ownership Claims
If the intellectual property ownership itself is disputed, we may request registration records, contracts, assignments, license agreements, court orders, or other relevant documentation. We may refrain from making a final ownership determination where the issue requires formal legal resolution.
30. Counter-Information
Where appropriate, the person or entity responsible for the disputed content may be permitted to provide information showing that the material is licensed, the use is authorized, the claimant does not own the asserted right, the claim concerns a lawful use, or the identified content does not match the protected work. Copyright matters falling under applicable DMCA procedures may be subject to separate counter-notification requirements.
31. Restoration of Content
Content removed after an intellectual property claim may be restored where appropriate if the claim is withdrawn, valid authorization is provided, a counter-notification process requires restoration, a legal decision resolves the matter, or the evidence demonstrates that removal is no longer appropriate.
32. Withdrawal of a Claim
If you submitted a complaint and later wish to withdraw it, contact support@wearnorules.com providing your name, original claim date, relevant product or page URL, and a clear statement withdrawing the claim. We may verify the withdrawal before taking further action.
33. Claims Concerning Third-Party Platforms
If disputed content appears on a third-party platform rather than directly on wearnorules.com, you may also need to submit a complaint through that platform's intellectual property reporting process. Wearnorules cannot control content hosted exclusively by independent third parties.
34. Intellectual Property Owned by Wearnorules
Content created or owned by Wearnorules may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including original website text, graphics, product photography, branding, logos, design elements, marketing materials, and other creative content. No permission to reproduce protected Wearnorules content is granted merely because the content is publicly accessible on our website.
35. Third-Party Intellectual Property
Third-party trademarks, company names, service names, payment logos, carrier names, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners. References to third parties do not imply ownership by Wearnorules.
36. No Transfer of Intellectual Property Rights
Purchasing a product from Wearnorules does not transfer intellectual property rights in product photography, website content, brand assets, graphics, marketing materials, or other protected content. Customers receive only the rights associated with lawful ownership and personal use of the purchased physical product, subject to applicable law.
37. No Legal Advice
Information on this page describes Wearnorules' claim-handling process. It does not constitute legal advice or determine whether a particular use is legally infringing. Rights holders and other parties should obtain independent legal advice where necessary.
38. Relationship With Our DMCA Policy
Copyright owners seeking to submit a notice specifically under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act should also review our DMCA Policy. The DMCA Policy contains additional procedures applicable to qualifying U.S. copyright notices and counter-notifications.
39. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Intellectual Property Claim Policy when necessary to reflect operational changes, legal requirements, changes in website functionality, rights management procedures, or security and fraud-prevention requirements. The current version will be published on wearnorules.com with an updated "Last Updated" date.
